What is PDR?＋
PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) is a technique for repairing dents without painting. With special tools we level the deformation from inside the panel; the original paint stays untouched. A paint gauge won't detect the repair.
How long does a PDR repair take?＋
A small dent: 30 minutes–2 hours. A larger one: 2–4 hours. After hail (the whole car): 1–3 days. Typically within 24 hours, vs. 5–7 working days at a paint shop.
How much does a PDR repair cost?＋
It depends on the damage. A small dent from 1,990 CZK, standard 2,950–4,100 CZK, larger 6,000–8,300 CZK, deep 9,740 CZK+. After hail, the whole car roughly 20,000–50,000+ CZK. Send photos for an estimate.
When can PDR not be used?＋
PDR is not possible with: broken paint, edge deformations with no access from behind, carbon-fibre panels (BMW i3/i8, McLaren), or panels with a previous filler repair.
Do you do PDR on aluminium panels?＋
Yes. Aluminium (Audi A8, Range Rover, Porsche, Jaguar XJ and others) is repaired with the same method + induction heating. Aluminium panels cost +20% vs. steel. Only carbon fibre is unrepairable.
Does PDR keep the manufacturer warranty?＋
Yes. PDR doesn't break or repaint the original coating — the manufacturer warranty stays valid. A paint shop typically voids it. A paint gauge won't detect a PDR repair.
Will you help with the insurer?＋
Yes. We work with Allianz, Generali, Kooperativa, ČPP, ČSOB, UNIQA, AXA. We deal with the insurer for you from claim to payout. Direct billing where possible.
Can you pick up the car?＋
Yes. Pickup across Prague for 500 CZK (round trip 250 + 250). Our driver collects the car from you, we repair it and bring it back. No wasted time, no parking.
Does a paint gauge detect a PDR repair?＋
No. PDR applies no paint, so the surface thickness doesn't change. Repainting, on the contrary, adds 80–150 μm — which is detectable. Important during checks (DEKRA, an «accident-free» sale).
Which cars is PDR suitable for?＋
Best for leased and in-warranty cars (keeps the original paint + warranty). For premium cars (Audi RS, BMW M, Porsche, Range Rover) — care without compromise. Generally for all brands and ages.
What if the paint is already damaged?＋
Even with broken paint we reshape the panel with PDR close to original — with minimal filler, then it just needs painting. The factory anti-corrosion coating stays intact. A classic panel-beater pulls the metal roughly and a wave shows only under paint; we prep the panel precisely. When the dent is too large or the metal is stretched beyond what PDR can recover, we use classic bodywork — we always pick the best solution.
